705S20 The Houses That Hanford Built
with Terry Andre
Explore a city developed by a communitarian architect to meet the needs of civilians brought together to live and work on a secret army project in a company town where the "company" was the U.S. Government. Step back in time and arrive in the Richland of the 1940s and 50s. Enter a world of letter designations for houses, transit quarters, and dormitories as you discover the ABC's of Richland.
Terry Andre has been a museum educator with the New York State Museum and the former CREHST Museum. She is currently a volunteer with the B Reactor Museum Association. Her passion has been creating programs and events that bring history to life through the eyes of the participants. In this program, the other panel members will be representing both government and private organizations that played a pivotal role in the formation of the National Park.
