508F22 Native and Drought Tolerant Gardening

with Ann Autrey & Heather Wendt

“Heritage gardens” are landscaped areas designed to promote the use of native plants – especially those of cultural significance – low-water use landscaping, and efficient irrigation methods. Native plant gardens are also pollinator friendly and help to provide food and shelter to wildlife. This a “must” class for those who want to save money on traditional lawn and garden care.

Ann Autrey is the owner of Tapteal Native Plants. She enjoys the opportunity to educate people on native plants in our area and how to incorporate them into a beautiful garden.

Heather Wendt is an Assistant Manager for both Benton and Franklin Conservation Districts. She can often be found educating people on wise stewardship of all natural resources in our area.
