Did you upgrade to a smartphone or tablet and are now unsure if that was a wise decision? Learn how to decipher the basic functions of your device along with some helpful tips and tricks. Class demonstrations will be conducted. Other models of devices, while similar, will have variations.

Ryan Bennett is a Full Lines Agent for Harvey Insurance. He is a technology enthusiast and does art and social media in his spare time.

102S18 Introduction to Excel

Calendar Feb 13, 2018 at 6:30 pm, runs for 2 weeks

This four-session class will take the student with little or no Excel experience to understanding the elements of Excel through developing their first spreadsheets and charts. Formatting, data setup, data arrangement, and basic functions for use in everyday applications will be covered. Students must have basic Windows and PC skills. Bring a USB drive to save work for review between and after classes.

Gary Greene has been a technical instructor and teaches Microsoft Excel classes. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering and is a retired engineer. 

103S18 Excel II

Build on the concepts you learned in a previous Introduction to Excel course. This class will take a closer look at the nine object types on the INSERT Tab and how each might be used to enhance the user’s workbooks. File options, page layout, data importing and exporting, and control will be covered along with functions designed to expand the student's toolkit. Bring a USB drive to save work for review between and after classes.

Learning to use a computer? This class introduces first-time computer users to common computer terms and features. Students will get hands-on experience in using Microsoft Word, the internet, web searches, email, and more!

Angie Matte began her china painting in Costa Mesa, CA. in 1985. In a short amount of time she started winning awards and selling her work. She taught china painting at Mr. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA as well as computer classes.  In 2012 she relocated to West Richland, WA. And is again teaching classes. Angie’s other job is working for the Kennewick School District in the district business office.

Linux is one of the most reliable, secure, and worry-free operating systems available and has zero cost of entry. You will learn by visual demonstration how to install and use Linux as an inexpensive alternative to Windows or other operating programs.

Dennis Arter is a retired engineer who has studied and used computers since 1984. Over the years, he has used TI, Apple, Macintosh, Windows, Linux, and Android machines. Dennis is on-call tech support for his family and friends. A resident of Kennewick, he enjoys local hiking, biking, and musical events. Dennis has been married to the same girl for nearly 50 years.
