209F22 Halloween Sugar Cookie Decorating

Show off your creative decorating flair on delicious golden brown cookies. Learn tips and tricks to achieve Halloween themed cookies that are almost too cute to eat. Participants will receive six sugar cookies to ice and decorate. Ages 5+ allowed if accompanied by an adult also registered for the class.

 

Lisa Sanchez is the creative mastermind behind Cakes By Lisa, LLC since forming in 2017. Lisa began decorating baked confectioneries over 10 years ago and had so many requests that she decided to make it an official business. Her custom specialties include celebration cakes, decorated sugar cookies, cupcakes, and cake pops.

Tom Kay and his wife Gayle have owned and operated The Flower Farm nursery in Kennewick for over 35 years. They host a weekly Saturday morning radio program on KFLD 870 AM, 8 – 9 a.m. on the topic of gardening. They love Q & A time. Give them a call!

Diana McPherson is a professional photographer and a passionate, eager, and experienced traveler. She has traveled to Belize, Italy, Baja, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, and 21 other states. She enjoys meeting new people and learning about their cultures.

Ryan Bennett is a Full Lines Agent for Harvey Insurance. He is a technology enthusiast and does art and social media in his spare time.

401F22 Beginning Yoga

Calendar Oct 27, 2022 at 6 pm, runs for 6 weeks

Beginning yoga will introduce the foundational poses of yoga with instruction on safe physical alignment. Breath will be linked to movement and progress at a relaxed pace. Participants will be exposed to the use of props and modifications to meet their individual needs.

No class will be held on Thanksgiving, Nov. 24th.

Michelle Sweeney is a registered yoga teacher (RYT200) and has have over 20 years of yoga experience.  She also teaches with the Kennewick School District.  Her combined experience will bring to the class an awareness of the needs of the individual.

Learn to create a beautiful vase design full of flowers with step by step instructions! Emphasis will be on flower preparations, stripping stems, how to properly place in a vase, and flower care to make your arrangement last as long as possible. 

 

Kim Johnson owns and operates Flowers by Kim. She started learning flower design in the late 90's and discovered a passion for bringing affordable arrangements to the Tri-Cities.

Whether you are a camera novice or pro, there is so much to learn in this four-part series! Introducing the actual language of photography: f-stops, shutter speeds, ISO, exposure and aperture, what they mean and how they are used in all camera settings, whether it be film, digital or your cell phone. All cameras speak the same language. Bring your camera to class.

 

Kaye DeBona has been a photographer for 35 years, focusing on nature & travel. Within that scopes she seeks to integrate her love of nature and natural light with a passion for architectural features.

204F22 Japanese Chawanmushi & Red Bean Dorayaki

Learn hands-on how to prepare Japanese recipes in this cooking class. Recipes include lacey red bean pancakes and savory seafood egg custard, a dish so soft it will melt in your mouth. Everybody will ask for your secret recipe. Sampling and recipes shared.

 

Eva Hsia-Elwell is a graduate of Taiwan College. She teaches Oriental Torn Cotton Paper Art and Chinese cooking classes. Eva loves to share her passion for art and cooking with her classes by inviting them to have a hands-on experience.
